AF Live – Our Team

“We are passionate people. Whether it’s the students we coach or the audience at our events, what matters to us is helping people get the most out of every experience”

When it comes to your team, communication is critical. AF Live has worked hard to foster a family atmosphere in a professional environment. We are progressive and creative, the solutions we offer to our customers embody these values. In 2021 we showed resilience in the midst of the pandemic, transforming our company. It’s paid off because the team begins 2022 in a strong position.

Paul heads up the team, with Greg managing the audio equipment and technicians with help from our apprentice, Finn. Wingnut heads up the lighting department and Nikki manages the finances and all aspects of business. 2022 is looking busy, with Tokyo World and Boomtown already confirmed for technical production services.

We are also proud to announce our new partnership with dBs Music. We have wanted to offer an in-house training programme to give trainee technicians on site experience to compliment their education.

Arts Council funding has made this a reality and with the support of L’Acoustics and other manufacturers, it will be the first of its kind.

Tom Chitson, dBs Programme Leader (Live Sound BA hons) says:

Our recent academic partnership with AF Live has been incredibly valuable for students and the further development of the Live Sound degree. The student participation in events with AF Live has resulted in real world experience that has allowed them to further develop their knowledge in real world environments with professional engineers. AF Live continues to support dBs with equipment loans and by organising additional training from industry manufacturers to offer alternative training to that already offered by the course. We are excited about continuing our partnership into the future.
