June 23 – Festival Round-up

The AF Live crew completed 9 more live events across the country in June – from continuing the Pub in the Park summer series to managing 3 stages at the infamous Glastonbury Festival! 

Brockwell Live

In June, our team successfully concluded the final two events of the Brockwell Live series, managing Technical Production and artist advancing, collaborating closely with our supply partners to deliver the very best production services.

Mighty Hoopla

Featuring captivating performances by Kelly Rowland, Years and Years, Kelis, Natasha Bedingfield, and many other talented artists, the thrilling two-day pop festival mesmerized a crowd of 30,000 attendees in the picturesque Brockwell Park. The event showcased a diverse range of unforgettable performances, vibrant club nights, and captivating cabaret collectives.

Lambeth Country Show

The Lambeth Country Show, a renowned festival celebrating the best of city and countryside, attracts over 120,000 attendees as one of the UK’s largest free family festivals. Featuring diverse attractions like food, crafts, horticulture, and entertainment, it promotes community engagement and sustainability. 

The weekend was filled with music across multiple stages, with reggae superstar Anthony B captivating the crowd with his politically-infused reggae. Visitors also enjoyed livestock, beekeepers, and the iconic Chucklehead Cider stall offering its potent festival juice!

Pub in the Park

The team successfully covered four additional locations in the Pub in the Park festival tour, ensuring the provision of cutting-edge equipment and supporting the advancement of artists for the live shows. 

Ensuring an exceptional experience for the audience is crucial in the PITP festival series. With live cooking demonstrations by world-renowned chefs and captivating performances by beloved artists, it is imperative that we achieve impeccable sound quality. This way, the audience can savour every word and make the most of each show, creating lasting and unforgettable memories.

Below is a summary of the locations we collaborated with in June:

Dulwich 

Dulwich not only featured captivating live cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs Tom Kerridge and Simon Rimmer, but it also boasted an impressive lineup of music headliners. Ministry of Sound Disco, EMF, The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Club, Tinie Tempah, and Heather Small all graced the stage, delivering a wealth of unforgettable performances.

Bath

The ultimate food and music festival made its way to Royal Victoria Park in Bath, featuring an impressive lineup of renowned chefs including Marco Pierre White, Matt Tebutt, Jimi Famurewa, and Leyla Kazim. The event brought together award-winning restaurants, live music, and delectable food, creating a memorable experience for attendees.

Headlining the Main Stage this year were talented artists Example, Badly Drawn Boy, McFly, and Gabrielle, adding to the festival’s vibrant atmosphere and entertainment lineup.

Reigate 

Priory Park in Reigate was the next stop on the festival tour. With esteemed chefs Tom Kerridge, Simon Rimmer, Matt Tebbutt, and Kerth Gumbs as hosts, the event in Reigate showcased an incredible lineup of headliners, including Bananarama, Example, Soul II Soul, and Ministry of Sound Disco.

Lemington Spa

The team’s next destination was Victoria Park in Leamington Spa, where they set up for the show. The festival, hosted by chefs Si King from the Hairy Bikers and Lisa Goodwin-Allen, featured an impressive lineup of headliners on the main stage, including Ronan Keating, Toploader, Bananarama, and Soul II Soul.

Glastonbury

We supplied three major stages at Glastonbury festival, deploying over 220 individual L-Acoustics speaker cabinets across the 3 arenas – Arcadia, Levels in Silver Hayes, and Now Here in Shangri-La.

Lakota

Our schedule remains filled to the brim, as we not only engage in numerous UK-wide festivals but also extend our services right here in our home city of Bristol for the acclaimed Lakota summer celebrations.

Our sound equipment has been an integral part of Lakota for over 20 years. As a result, we have an intimate understanding of how to produce optimal outcomes when we’re in charge of the sound for the summer parties.

Invicta Day Party

At Lakota’s day-long Drum and Bass festival, featuring a combination of indoor and outdoor stages, the superb sound from Invicta Audio truly stood out. With our contribution in technical production services, we ensured the delivery of top-notch sound for the entire duration of the event, engaging the audience from dawn till dusk.

Big Dyke Energy

Orchestrated by Team BDE, this vibrant, 12-hour queer rave dominated the famed Lakota Gardens. The lineup featured back-to-back sets from Eris Drew and Octo Octa, with additional music from Yazzus, LCY, Angel D’lite, FAFF, Fliss Mayo, Ellie Stokes, Sadidas, Melo, as well as performances by Prinx Silver, Reenie, among others.

We were responsible for providing top-tier sound and lighting, taking the event experience to an entirely new level.
